“Bollocks”; the UK’s favourite word could make a comeback it has been revealed.
Now that ‘bollocks’ is regularly taught at Key Stage 2 English in junior schools, the word, which nearly died out in the late 19th century due to the parasitic “fuck” taking hold in many urban areas, is making a slow but steady recovery.
Jonas Nebworth, from the Campaign For The Best Proper English Getting Spoken said: “Bollocks has more uses than any other spoken word; thanks must go to The Rt Hon Justine Greening MP, secretary of state for education, for getting it reinstated into the curriculum.”He went on to say: “Hopefully we’ll be able to build on this success with the gradual reintroduction of the likes of ‘Pish’ which, other than occasional use in Scotland, has all but died out.”
